Polish President falls for prank call

This is the second time that Polish President Andrzej Duda falls for a prank call. Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus called Duda imposing as French President Emmanuel Macron and spoke to him about a strey missle that hit a Polish village near the Ukranian border. Poland stated that the missile was russian-made but that there was no sign of this being an intentional attack. NATO Secretary General Jans Stoltenberg said that it is most probable that this was a malfunctioning Ukranian air defence missile. When the callers revealed themself and publicized the call recording  Duda's office responded by stating that the President was suspicious about the authenticity of the caller and ended the call quickly.  People responisble for the hoax call insist that they were not acting on behalf of Kremlin, but they did get a lot of media coverage on Russian TV.     After listening to the call I think that this and the earlier prank call show us that it is clearly to...

The African draught that fills land with corpses

Africa suffers from the effects of climate change as the worst drought in 40 years kills animals and starves people. Animals normally adjusted to the hard climate of Kenya like elephants and zebras are now dying of thirst. Wildlife fotographers who visited Kenya recantly describe vast grasslands filled with animal carcasses and vultures fat from the abundance of food. Dr Paula Kahumbu from National Geographic sayd that it's terryfing to see animals pass out from exhaustion right after finally reaching a water source. This great issue will only continue to have more and more profound concequences as the drought seems to be moving south to the naturally more wet areas.     This is a clear sign that climate change is a real thing and that it's effects are frightening. Still I think that because this doesn't affect first-world countries there will not be much done about it. https://www.independent.co.uk/climate-change/news/kenya-drought-horn-of-africa-b2227619...

Man who inspiered the film The Terminal has died

Form 1988 to 2006 an Iranian man had been stuck in an airport in Paris. Mehran Karimi first flew to Europe to find his mother and after being expelled from Belgium, the UK, The Netherlands and Germany due to not having proper documents he went to France and lived at Paris Airport for eighteen years. In 2004 his story inspired Stephen Spielberg to create a movie now known as The Terminal. Mehran spent eighteen years of his life sleeping on airport benches and writing about his life in a notebook. Despite being able to leave the airport in 1999, the Iranian man stayed at the airport until 2006 when he was taken to hospital due to an illness. He returned to the airport a couple of weeks ago and lived there for the rest of his life.     Personally, I enjoyed the movie a lot and find the story of Mr Mehran very interesting. I think there is no other person on Earth who can say he experienced something like Mehran.  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe...

Controversial change in Twitters blue verification tick

Following Elon Musks acquisition of Twitter one of the first changes said to release is a change to the well recognized blue tick . The staple blue tick was a sign that an account was authentic and was only given out to well known people involved in the online space . Elon Musk after buying twitter not only laid off most of the workers of the company, but has said that the way you get verified will change . In certain countries the blue tick will be a subscription based feature costing roughly seven pounds . Many find this change awful because the blue ticks purpose was to signify an original account and solve the problem of fake profiles , but now it will be possible to buy yourself the verification status without being an influential person .        I think that this change is a quick way for Elon Mu...
